For $25, you get a 30-minute, one-on-one evaluation with one of our all-female coaches, plus a personalized roadmap that tells you exactly what level she belongs in, what her first milestone should be, and how to get there.

What Happens During the 30 Minutes

This is not a test. There are no pass/fail scores. It is a conversation on the board.

First, she plays a coached game.
If she has never played, her coach will gently teach her the basics during the session and observe how she processes patterns, handles mistakes, and responds to guidance. If she already plays, the coach will play a full game against her at an appropriate level and watch how she thinks in real time — not just what she plays, but why she plays it.

Second, her coach conducts a strengths assessment.
We look at five things: her tactical vision, her comfort with the clock, her opening knowledge (if any), her emotional response to losing a piece, and her ability to explain her own thinking. These five areas tell us more than any online rating ever could.

Third, we build her roadmap together.
Before the session ends, her coach explains — in age-appropriate language — what she does well and where her biggest growth opportunities are. The coach then recommends the exact next step: Promising Pawns, Princess Pawns, Rising Queens, Champions Group or private coaching. If she is not ready for any of them, the coach says that too. We do not sell you a level she does not need.

What You Receive Within 24 Hours

Within one business day, you receive a written email summary that includes:

• A full breakdown of her five assessment areas

• Her recommended starting level, with reasoning

• A 90-day improvement plan with specific, achievable milestones

• Suggested study habits and free resources she can use immediately

• A direct link to enroll in her recommended program, if you choose to move forward

You can share this with your spouse, your daughter's school counselor, or simply sleep on it. There is no pressure to enroll immediately.

How the Logistics Work

• Platform: The session is held online via Google Meet, with gameplay on Chess.com or Lichess.org. Your daughter will need a free account on either platform and a laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection.

• Scheduling: After you purchase, you receive a calendar link within 24 hours. Choose a time that works for your family — mornings, afternoons, and evenings are available across U.S. time zones.

• Who is there: Just your daughter and one of our all-female coaches. Parents are welcome to observe silently, but the session works best when the coach builds direct rapport with the student.

• Rescheduling: If something comes up, we require 24-hour notice to move your session to a new time.

The $25 Becomes a Credit

Here is what makes this a true no-brainer: if you enroll in any monthly group class or private coaching plan within 14 days of your Placement Session, we apply the full $25 toward your second month's tuition.

That means the session is essentially free if you join us. And if you do not join us? You still walk away with a professional assessment and a plan you can use anywhere.
